Kennedy Rose

I finished my Kennedy Rose but I'm sick, sick, sick today so I know I won't get a picture up, but it is so pretty.  I love it!  And I'm probably going to miss my family's annual seafood dinner because the thought of smelling fish makes me want to hurl!  Boo hoo :(

Snazzie Drawers

I just finished several Starlet La Fleur flowers from Snazzie Drawers and I love them.  I bought the pattern several months ago and just got around to making them.  Now I can't wait to try the Kennedy Rose.  If you haven't seen these, click here to see her amazing patterns.  You'll love them too.

Caroline's Christmas Dress

I can't believe it's been so long since I've blogged!  I've really been doing projects, just haven't been taking pictures.

I finished Caroline's Christmas dress today and got it in the mail just in time.  She needs it for her Christmas program next Friday and it will get to her on Thursday.  I do run on the edge sometimes.  It turned out so great that I had to take pictures.

The one thing that really saved me was the dress form I bought.  Since I don't have her here to fit, the dress form eliminated all the guesswork.  She saw pictures of it tonight and loved it!

New Pattern

I just purchased the Kennedy Rose pattern from Snazzie Drawers.  It is the cutest flower pattern that I have ever seen.  You can see it here.  I can't wait to try making it.  It looks kind of complicated but I'm a very motivated crafter...my granddaughter would look just stunning in it!  I'll post a picture when I finish it.

And here's Brittney's decorated tee shirt.  Oh, by the way, Kami was the drawing winner for this challenge.

Craft Challenge

Here's Krafty Kami's tee shirt project.  It is a tee shirt turned into a laundry bag.

Craft Challenge

I'm behind a couple of weeks so I'm going to get caught up right now.  Here's the pictures of the tee shirt challenge.  My pictures show pants and a tee shirt because no one joined the pants challenge. This project was so much fun and turned out so great that I'm going to make more for her.

Craft Challenge

Our craft challenge for this week was anything patriotic for the 4th of July.  My granddaughter, Caroline, helped me this week.  She made the earrings for me and I painted her fingernails.  Her nails looked better before I took the picture but she loves them.

Craft Challenge

Krafty Kami loves to win the craft challenges and she wins often, especially when she is the only one to complete the challenge. Here is the cute dress she made from a pillowcase.  It turned out a little big so she is going to cut it down to fit someone.

Next week the challenge is for something patriotic.  It can be ANYTHING as long as it has to do with the 4th of July.

Craft Challenge

Our challenge for next week is a dress.  Here are the 2 dresses I made.  I took a fun girls top and added a ruffled skirt and removeable daisy pin.

Craft Challenge

And here's the scrapbook I made.  I found the tutorial on You Tube and loved it.  And it was easy enough that I helped all our Summerfest kids make one (they are from 1st through 6th grade).

Craft Challenge

Krafty Kami's scrapbook for the challenge this week.  She made one for her daughter, Riley who is in California for the summer.

Craft Challenge

And the winner is....................Leisa.  Her craft is totally her-shopping girl on a cell phone!  I loved that Brittney let the kids in her pre-school class help her decorate them AND she recycled the baby wipes tubs.

Next week the challenge is a scrapbook or photo album.

Craft challenge #2-Brittney.

Craft challenge #1-Leisa.

Craft Challenge

So our craft challenge this week was....an organizer.  You either needed to make something to organize or take an item that is used for organizing and make something else.  I spent the weekend cleaning and organizing my house because my daughter and her 3 kids are coming to visit next week.  I didn't really go all out but I did do something.  I'll have to post pictures tonight.

Craft Challenge

This week has been crazy!  I'm sorry that it's taken so long to post who won the craft challenge on Monday.  Laurie won with the pink woven ribbon headband.  Congrats Laurie!  The challenge for next Monday is.....organization.  Either make something to help you organize or take something to organize and create something else.  Good Luck!
This is the headband I made.  It is a lace rosette on a ruffled fabric circle.

Craft Challenge

And the winner is............ASHLEY!  She made the super cute green frame out of a window frame.  Next week the challenge will be headbands. I've created the "linky" on the right side of this page.  You must follow this blog and link your project with the "linky thingy" and that will enter you in the contest.  The winner is picked totally by random, in fact by random.org so there is no judging and anyone can win.  And speaking of winning, Ashley won a photo album, a scrapbook album, and 2 photo holders.  Way to go Ashley, you are so creative.

Flip Flops

I love the Switch Flops that are for sale at Beautiful Girl but I can't wear anything between my toes.  My daughter and granddaughter love them for the summer so I made these while watching Ocean's Eleven tonight.  I love crafting while watching movies.  I get a lot done and get to relax at the same time.  They are real easy to make.  I used E600 to glue the velcro to the flip flops.  Then I sewed the leopard ribbon to the other velcro and that was it.  I saw a tutorial somewhere for them but I can't remember where.  Anyway, they are very easy to make.  Try them.

Craft Challenge

I finished my picture frame and here it is.  I just added fabric roses and tiles that spell LOVE.  I don't know what I'm going to do with it.  Just keep it around until I find the perfect picture to go in it.

How To Make Rolled Roses

I have made these fun rolled roses and they are so cute!  I came across this tutorial and just had to share it with everyone.  The blog is ascrapoffabulous.blogspot.com and you can click here for the tutorial.  They are really easy and fun to make.

Craft Challenge

Yay, I'm the first one to put my picture frame up for the craft challenge.  I made this for my sister who is leaving for South Africa this weekend.  I'll miss her.

Craft Challenge

Our necklace challenge was very fun and we had double the amount of entries (OK so that's just 2).  I've had a hard time getting pictures to put on the blog but I have Kami's and Brittney's today.  I'll put my picture up when I get it.  Brittney won the prize-a rolling suitcase filled with pedicure thingys.  She loved it.

Next week the challenge is a picture frame.  You must either start or finish with a picture frame.  I've already started mine and it's going to be fabulous-at least I think so.  This has been so good for me.  I'm doing things I wouldn't normally do and trying new techniques.  Think about joining us.  The more the merrier!

Craft Challenge

And the winner is..........Krafty Kami! She did the very clever paper bead bracelets.  The beads are made of rolled up scrapbook paper and sewed onto an elastic band.  She wins a set of refrigerator magnets and a three tier Snap N Store organizer.  The challenge for next Monday is a necklace.  You must begin or finish with a necklace.  Take a necklace and make it into something else or embelish one you already have.  Or you can make a new necklace out of new supplies or something you already have.  I have a hundred ideas and only a week to get it done.  I guess that's why it's called a challenge.

I Have A Secret

I forgot to tell my secret.  My niece Kaylee is engaged!  She didn't want to announce it to everyone when I found out so I was sworn to secrecy.  Now that everyone knows, I'm so excited for her.  She's getting married on July 30 and I get to help decorate for the reception.  I can't wait!

Craft Challenge

I'm going to post my bracelets for the craft challenge tonight.  Then I can work on posting everyone's pictures tomorrow.  I hope we have more than 2 who have completed their bracelets.  I want to see what everyone has come up with.  I did two bracelets but one was a repeat of the button bracelet I did to sell on Etsy.

Craft Challenge

I've got my bracelet made for the challenge and I really like it.  There are more co-workers interested in joining the challenge so I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with.  Now I have to figure out how the random.org site works.

Craft Challenge

Here is our first craft challenge.  We have to make a bracelet.  Any kind, made out of any material.  The challenge is due Monday by 6:00 pm.  There are 3 of us at work who want to do them.  It will be fun to see what everyone will come up with.  Check back.

Craft Challenge

I was browsing the isles at Hastings tonight when I came up with a wonderful idea.  My co-worker and crafty friend have been having fun inspiring each other with our fun projects so I'm going to challenge her to a craft-off each week.  We'll have a theme or topic and have to come up with something fabulous.  I think we should invite everyone to join the fun and I have enough "treasures" that I could come up with some cool prizes.  I'll let you know when and what the first one will be on Monday.  I'm so excited!!!!!!

Crafting My Heart Out

I've been in love with making these shabby chic dishes since I saw them at the Women's Conference I went to last week.  I glued the candlestick to the plate and bowl with E6000.  I don't know if I can stop or if I want to.  I may have to redo my whole house in shabby chic!  That wouldn't be so bad, would it?
